Secretary of the Navy Presents Award of Merit to the Society Secretary of the Navy Dr. Donald C. Winter recently presented the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society with the Award of Merit for Group Achievement.  Secretary Winter has been a strong supporter and advocate for the Society and he recognizes that the strength of the Society lies with the 3,600 volunteers and fewer than 240 paid employees who deliver our services to Sailors, Marines and their families around the world.  In accepting this significant award, Society President Steve Abbot said, “It is a happy and proud moment for me to be able to accept this award on behalf of every member of Team NMCRS.” The award is pictured below.
