CCA Visiting Nurses — Make a Difference • Challenge Yourself • Change Lives: NMCRS seeks compassionate and dedicated RNs to join the only group of nurses in the country who make ongoing, face-to-face contact with wounded Marines and Sailors, and their families. Our nurses provide continuity of care, emotional support, and resource education to those most affected by the war. The successful candidate will have an active Maryland or Virginia RN license, current CPR certification, a good driving record, reliable transportation and valid auto insurance. Must be able to travel outside their immediate area an average of 3-4 days per month to make patient visits. The ideal candidate will have a med-surg background and prior experience working with wounded veterans or with the military. The position would be based out of the Northern Virginia/Metro DC area. The Society established the Visiting Nurse program in 1922 to provide in-home patient care for dependents. As a result of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, the program evolved in 2006 to include Visiting Nurses specifically to provide support to combat wounded Marines and Sailors. World-Wide Locations: NMCRS Quantico — Visiting Nurse Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society (NMCRS) is seeking a part-time (24 hrs/wk) Visiting Nurse at our office in Quantico, VA. No weekends, holidays, and shifts; no insurance reports to file; no OASIS forms. Just nursing the way it should be…one-to-one with patients teaching health info/providing resource information and support to Navy and Marine Corps families, including moms/babies, retirees, and combat casualties. Must have current and active Virginia RN license, reliable transportation and a good driving record. Med/Surg, home health background and current CPR certification desirable.
