You now can fill out the application forms on your computer but you will need Adobe Acrobat 5.0 or newer to have the ability to save the .PDF file to your computer. The following information assumes that you have the proper software. When the button to the Application form [the .PDF form] is selected, the form should start downloading to your computer. These files may belarge and may take some time, especially if you are using a modem and dial-up service. When the .PDF file is displayed on your screen and the downloading is completed, simply place your cursor at the first fill-out spot, and begin typing. When you complete that block, use your TAB key to move to the next. Signature blocks and date blocks at the signature lines are to be done by hand. Also, information requested from Commanding Officers or institutions of higher education will need to be filled in legibly by hand or with a typewriter. When you have completed filling in the form, use the "Save As" function to save it to your computer. Then print it from your computer. This page updated: April 22, 2007.
