Location: NMCRS Headquarters
The Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society (NMCRS) is seeking a full-time (40 hrs/wk) Area Trainer (AT) based in the Greater San Diego area. The Area Trainer will travel to provide onsite training at field offices and via Skype in support of staff members who serve active duty and retired Sailors and Marines and their families. We are seeking someone with a background in: 1. Developing and delivering training curriculums in various formats, including online learning and classroom facilitation. 2. Strong computer skills with the ability to learn new software quickly 3. Familiarity with NMCRS policies and procedures 4. Casework experience (Level III or IV) 5. Volunteer leadership development 6. Office Administration The AT must be flexible in a multifaceted work environment, work as a team member, and be able to demonstrate effective mentoring skills with a wide variety of personnel. Other required qualifications include: previous or current experience as a NMCRS Volunteer or employee, exceptional oral and written communications skills, the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively. Further, strong computer skills (with the ability to learn new software quickly); and prior experience using Skype, Microsoft Office, SharePoint or a learning management system (LMS) is preferred. Frequent travel required. BA/BS degree in Education, Communication, English or related fields is preferred. Starting salary for this position is $25.23 per hour plus benefits.
