If you have a background in communications or marketing, this may be the ideal position for you. We need volunteers with skills in writing and editing, and volunteers with graphic design skills. You’ll use your skills to develop newsletters, flyers, articles, briefings, and professional correspondence, as well as social media communications.
If you like public speaking, you can give presentations about the Society and its services in the local Navy and Marine Corps community.
Volunteers in this area have strong communication skills and are excited to tell service members how we can help them. To be a good fit, you must be able to meet deadlines and work with a team. Volunteers also need to develop a network with other communication outlets, such as base and community newspapers.
The hours for this position can be very flexible. You may be able to volunteer from home. As a communications volunteer, you’ll get training about the Society and guidelines for the different types of communications media we use.
No matter your skillset, your help is needed.
