Education Assistance
Who can apply
Children (under 23 by September 30 of current academic year) of active duty, retired or qualifying deceased Sailors and Marines
Spouses of active duty, retired, or deceased Sailors or Marines
Active-duty Sailors and Marines with written orders for the enlisted-to-officer program, MECEP or MECP (loan only)
Applicants may be pursuing career & technical education, associate's degree, bachelor's degree, or master's degree
How it works
Scholarships are awarded once per academic year and range from $500–$3,000
Interest-free loans (up to $4,000) are offered on a rolling basis
Awards are determined by cost of attendance and FAFSA Student Aid Index (SAI)
Funds are provided directly to the institution
Funds can offset the costs of tuition, books, and lodging
Recipients can apply every year they are eligible
