No appointment needed
There’s no appointment necessary to receive emergency travel assistance, simply walk into any one of our offices. Not near an NMCRS office? Contact our partner, the American Red Cross at 877-272-7337 and they’ll work as your liaison.
You’ll need the following:
- Military ID card
- Emergency leave papers or verification information regarding reason for travel

Who’s eligible for emergency travel assistance?
- Active duty or retired Sailors and Marines
- Eligible family members with a military ID card
- Surviving spouse
- Reservists on extended active duty of 30 days or more
